What Jobs Did Most People Have?
Most men were fisherman, made clothing, were shipbuilders, and cut lumber. Men during this time period were the only people working outside of their homes. Women did work inside the house, and took care of the house and make food for their husbands.

They really only made 1 type of a house, and they were stone-ender houses made of limestone, usually 2 story, not common any where else in England only Rhode Island. Most of them had chimneys, and typically small windows. This house could maintain a whole family.

It was a Charter Colony. Charter protected and created their government. From their they even declared independence from Great Britain. Kids didn't really do much girls, most likely played with dolls they sewed, and boys most likely played catch, hoops, or marbles. This was usually what they did for entertainment. The men and women were usually doing their jobs while the played and learned.
